More accurate for me to say that ‘ you appear to be who you are Sophie , because you don’t dwell on negatives or failure , albeit with a low risk exit policy possible if necessary. You enable yourself to take sensible risks make changes more freely without ‘risking everything.’

I think that’s closer to my meaning

That is exactly how I would write it Christopher. I would never 'risk all' - that is, I feel, gambling rather than innovation, creativity, or adapting your life changes that we all face as each year moves into the next. S

strangely I too have thought about 'that word' - the reason I left it in the writing was because many people worry about mistakes. When I was tutoring painting, it was the first word that came out of most people's mouths. Only occasionally did I hear, 'I'll give it a try' and that is the end of the sentence'!! Mostly it was, 'I'll give it a try but what if I make a mistake'. So, I feel many can relate to the fear of 'what if I make a mistake'. I was attempting to communicate that 'mistakes' are okay and with resilience, logic, creativity and a curious mind you can simply 're-think' around that 'mistake' and be perfectly happy. What do you think? s
